- Children under the age of 5 get free entrance to the attraction.
- Buggies are welcomed on board Britannia, but they must be max 670mm wide.
- Baby changing facilities are available in the Visitor Centre and on board.

- Assistance dogs (including guide or hearing dogs) are welcome with an ID Badge.
- Britannia is classed as Category 1, the highest level for wheelchair access without assistance, but due to the nature of the ship, wheelchairs must be no wider than 670mm.
- Wheelchairs can be hired free of charge from the Visitor Centre on the day.
- Tablets are available with the Britannia tour in British and American Sign Language.
- There are lifts and ramps to each of the five decks.
- There is seating along the tour route.

- October: 10:00am to 5:30pm (last admission: 3:30pm)
- November – December: 10:00am to 5:00pm (last admission: 3:00pm, except on 24 December, when the last admission is at 2:30pm)

- Closest train station: Edinburgh Waverley, 2.3 miles.
- Lothian Bus services from Edinburgh city centre are 10, 16, 34 or 35 and Edinburgh trams run from Edinburgh Airport through the city centre and down to Leith. To visit Britannia get off the tram at stop Ocean Terminal.
