- Toilets and baby-care facilities are available in the Garden and at the exit from the State Rooms.
- For safety reasons, pushchairs are not allowed within the State Rooms. They must be checked in and collected at the exit.
- Baby carriers and hip seats can be borrowed free of charge.
- The family multimedia tour is available in English and is aimed at families with children under 12.

Buckingham Palace ticket restrictions
- More than 10 tickets (in any combination) cannot be purchased at one time.
- Tickets to this attraction are non-amendable and non-exchangeable.
- Photography and filming, including for personal use, is not allowed in the State Rooms. Visitors are however encouraged to take pictures in the Garden.
- No food or drinks, except for bottled water, are allowed during the visit.
- Animals, except for guide, hearing or assistance animals, will not be admitted to the Palace.
- Bags larger than 45cm x 20cm x 30cm are not allowed in the Palace. Visitors can make use of luggage storage facilities at Victoria Station.

- Visitors are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled time of visit.
- It is recommended for visitors to wear comfortable shoes during the tour.

The State Rooms are open 7 days a week during July and August. During September they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
There is a timed admission system. This is the time you select when purchasing your ticket. For the best experience please arrive at the entry time printed on your ticket and not earlier.
