Alton Towers accessibility information

  • Carer tickets are called ‘Essential Companian’ tickets and can be obtained on the day of visit from Ticket Sales and Collection at the main entrance plaza. Please present valid documentation. Please click here for more information.

Alton Towers Resort opening times vary throughout the year, however, the regular opening times are:

  • Monday to Sunday: 10:00am - 4:00pm or 10:00am - 7:00pm

Tickets are available to purchase year-round, but the park is open between April and November.

Standard Parking can be purchased from Ticket Sales and Collections (cash, card and contactless), Self Service Ticket Machines (card and contactless) or The Resort Box Office (cash, card and contactless).

    • The Monorail and entrance open at 9:00 am. Arrive early, grab a drink and head to your favourite rides, ready for the fun to begin at 10:00 am.

  • How much is parking at Alton Towers?

    • Standard Parking is charged at £10 for Theme Park Guests. Upon arrival, please follow the road signage or team members’ directions. Standard Parking is between 15-25 minutes walk to the Theme Park Entrance.
  • Can you take dogs to Alton Towers?

    • Pets or animals of any nature are expressly prohibited into the Alton Towers Resort (except for assistance dogs) and, for the avoidance of doubt, should not be left in any vehicle parked at the Resort.
  • Does Alton Towers close for winter?

    • Alton Towers Theme Park is open from March until November every year. The theme park closes for the Winter season around the start of November.

Carer tickets cannot be booked alone without an admission ticket.
