VisitBritain Gift Card

If you purchase a VisitBritain Gift Card online, you can add any value of your choice from a minimum amount of £10 up to a maximum of £500.

There are no fees associated with VisitBritain Gift Cards. You will only be charged the face value of the Gift Card.​

You have the right to cancel your VisitBritain Gift Cards order at any time during the 14 day cooling off period, provided none of the balance on your VisitBritain Gift Cards has been redeemed.

If you redeem the balance on the VisitBritain Gift Card (whether in full or in part) prior to the expiry of the 14 days cooling off period, you acknowledge and accept that you shall lose your right to cancel the VisitBritain Gift Cards.

We accept Debit and Credit Cards (excluding American Express).

The Security Code is the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card.

Your Credit Card is charged at the time of purchase. This purchase will appear on your Credit/Debit Card statement as ‘CS*VisitBritain Gift Cards’.

The VisitBritain Gift card is a digital product sent via email on the date of your choice, with rare exceptions for processing delays. It is not a physical product. For same-day delivery, most VisitBritain Gift Cards are sent within an hour of the purchase transaction. For future delivery, VisitBritain Gift Cards are sent on the morning of the scheduled delivery date.

Yes. To do so, click on “Buy a gift card” and wait to be redirected to our partner website. You will then be asked “Who is the Gift Card for”. Select the “For me” option and your VisitBritain Gift Card will be sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase. When you receive your VisitBritain Gift Card alert via email, follow the instructions in this message to retrieve and redeem your VisitBritain Gift Card.

Yes. For example, if you send separate VisitBritain Gift Cards to Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim at their shared email address, they will receive two messages with the subject “[Sender] sent you a VisitBritain Gift Card from VisitBritain” with your name in place of [Sender]. Within the text of the emails, each message will be addressed to the respective recipient, using the name you entered in the purchase process, for example: “Mary Smith, John Jones sent you a £XX VisitBritain Gift Card from VisitBritain.” 

Our VisitBritain Gift Cards are not reloadable, so you will not be able to increase the value after your initial purchase.

A VisitBritain Gift Card is an electronic Gift Card sent via email. On the delivery date you choose, a message is sent to the recipient informing them of your gift, with a link to retrieve it online. The link in the email displays a page showing the VisitBritain Gift Card you created (the design you selected, with your recipient’s name and your personalised message), its value and card details. This page also gives simple instructions for redeeming the VisitBritain Gift Card.

Using your VisitBritain Gift Card is very easy. Find your desired experience among the many eligible ones (see the full list of eligible experiences) and add it to the basket. Select “Use a Gift Card” at checkout. Choose “Add a Gift Card” and enter your VisitBritain Gift Card number and PIN code. Finally, select the desired amount and apply it to your order to have it deducted from the total in the Order Summary.

VisitBritain Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of activation after which the VisitBritain Gift Card shall automatically expire and any remaining balance shall no longer be valid/redeemable.

No. You can spend some or all of the balance on the VisitBritain Gift Cards. Any remaining balance will be saved until your next purchase or until it expires, whichever occurs earliest.

No. Once your VisitBritain Gift Card has expired any remaining balance will no longer be valid/redeemable.​

We adhere to all best practices to ensure successful delivery of our VisitBritain Gift Cards via email. There is a chance that the email will be treated as spam or the recipient did not notice it in their email inbox.

You will receive an email message confirming delivery, and a message notifying you that the VisitBritain Gift Cards have been viewed. If the VisitBritain Gift Cards go un-viewed for 15 days after delivery, you will receive a message with options for resolving the issue. You may also contact Customer Services with the order number from the email you received confirming your purchase, and we can let you know if the recipient has viewed their VisitBritain Gift Cards. 

You should treat the VisitBritain Gift Card as if it were cash. If the VisitBritain Gift Cards details are lost, stolen, damaged or fails to operate correctly or if the VisitBritain Gift Cards number becomes known/accessible to any unauthorised person (including if your Device is lost or stolen) you must immediately notify our Customer Services. You must quote the VisitBritain Gift Card number; if you fail to do so, we will not be able to cancel the VisitBritain Gift Card or issue a replacement VisitBritain Gift Card.  Please see the full terms and conditions for further information on this. 

Our state-of-the-art technology helps inhibit fraud, however you must safeguard your VisitBritain Gift Cards for your own protection. If someone makes a copy and redeems them for the full amount, your copy will have no value. No matter how many copies are made, the value of the ViisitBritain Gift Cards is tied to the unique Gift Card number. When that number is used, the value of the purchase is deducted from the VisitBritain Gift Cards.
