VisitBritain Gift Card Terms and Conditions 

General Terms 
British Tourist Authority (“VisitBritain”) supplies digital Gift Cards (“VisitBritain Gift Cards”) to customers (“VisitBritain Gift Cards”) which are issued by British Tourist Authority, 3 Grosvenor Gardens, London, England, SW1W 0BD, VAT Number – GB 446 0885 32 and are supplied via VisitBritain’s agent, Blackhawk Network (Europe) Limited registered in England and Wales with its registered office at Westside, London Road, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, HP3 9TD England (registered number 07956446), who operates this website.  

If you have any complaints about our service or any VisitBritain Gift Cards you purchase from us or wish to contact us please contact VisitBritain Gift Card Customer Services on [email protected], or by phone on 0151 805 0395, phone line opening hours are 09:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

VisitBritain Gift Cards  
VisitBritain Gift Cards are redeemable online. No additional fees will be imposed on purchasers or recipients of VisitBritain Gift Cards.  

​If we are unable to accept your order, the system will inform you of this and will not charge you. This might be because of a suspicious transaction alert identified on our system.

Expiry of VisitBritain Gift Cards  
VisitBritain Gift Cards are valid for 12 months, from the date of activation.

Your Rights To End The Contract 
You have the right, in addition to all other statutory rights, to cancel your order for VisitBritain Gift Cards, provided you are within the cooling off period of fourteen (14) days from the date of activation of the VisitBritain Gift Cards.   

 If you choose to redeem your VisitBritain Gift Cards before the expiry of the fourteen (14) day cooling off period, you acknowledge and accept that you will lose your right to end the contract.



 

Cancellations and refunds
We are unable to offer partial refunds for orders placed using a VisitBritain Gift Card. Cancellation and refund policy vary depending on the product’s supplier. Please refer to the individual product copy to learn about cancellation policy.

Returns 
Subject to the 14 day cooling off period you may not return or cancel your VisitBritain Gift Cards after they are activated.

Lost or Stolen VisitBritain Gift Cards  
You should treat the VisitBritain Gift Card as if it were cash.  If the VisitBritain Gift Cards are lost, stolen, damaged or fails to operate correctly or if the VisitBritain Gift Cards number becomes known/accessible to any unauthorised person (including if your Device is lost or stolen) you must immediately notify Customer Services. You must quote the VisitBritain Gift Card number; if you do not quote the [ ] number, we will not be able to cancel the VisitBritain Gift Card or issue a replacement VisitBritain Gift Card. 

Provided that you have not acted fraudulently or with gross negligence, you will remain liable for any debit to the Card arising from unauthorised use of the lost or stolen VisitBritain Gift Card before you notify us in accordance with the above terms.  If you have acted fraudulently, or without reasonable care you may be liable for the entire loss. You will not be able to claim a refund for any unauthorised VisitBritain Gift Card transactions arising from use of a lost or stolen VisitBritain Gift Card /Device where you notified us of such VisitBritain Gift Card transactions more than 13 months from the date the VisitBritain Gift Card Transaction was debited to your Card.

Following notification to us, if there is a credit balance on the VisitBritain Gift Card at the time the VisitBritain Gift Card /Device is reported lost or stolen, we will, where appropriate for security reasons, cancel the original VisitBritain Gift Card and will provide a replacement VisitBritain Gift Card to you (with the appropriate credit loaded on to the replacement VisitBritain Gift Card). To allow for the processing of any pending VisitBritain Gift Card transactions, we will wait seven days prior to issuing any replacement VisitBritain Gift Card.

Limitations 
VisitBritain Gift Cards can be spent on a wide range of participating products on the online VisitBritain Shop.

VisitBritain Gift Cards cannot be resold and/or transferred or exchanged for or redeemed for any monetary/cash value and orders cannot exceed £1000 per day.

Payment Methods 
VisitBritain Gift Cards may be paid for with a valid Debit or Credit Card (excluding American Express). 

 Delivery Information  
VisitBritain Gift Cards will be delivered free of charge via email. 
 

We are not responsible for VisitBritain Gift Cards that are not received due to your failure to enter an accurate email address for the recipient. If you have concerns about your order, please contact VisitBritain Gift Card Customer Services on [email protected] or by calling 0151 805 0395 (our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm). You will be required to provide your order number.  

Reasons for Failed Delivery of eGift Cards 
VisitBritain Gift Cards are delivered via email. If you have confirmed the recipient’s email address but the VisitBritain Gift Cards have not been viewed within a reasonable period after the requested delivery date, the following is a list of the most common reasons why delivery may have failed:  

  1. Spam filter blocked email or routed it to a bulk/spam folder 
  2. Recipient’s firewall blocked the email 
  3. Email inbox is over size limit 
  4. Invalid email address 

If a spam filter is blocking VisitBritain Gift Card emails from getting to an inbox, the email options will need to be modified so that VisitBritain Gift Card emails are not considered spam.

Personalised Messaging 
If you wish to add a personal message to your VisitBritain Gift Cards, simply type your message in the message field during the purchase process. 

VisitBritain Gift Cards personal messages are limited to 50 characters per message in the space provided on the VisitBritain Gift Cards and there is no additional charge to include a personalised message. 

We reserve the right to cancel inappropriate, offensive or derogative messages.

Governing Law 
These terms are governed and any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with, its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) or your purchase of the VisitBritain Gift Cards shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England.

You hereby irrevocably agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with, these terms, its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) or your purchase of the VisitBritain Gift Cards.
