Ticket restrictions

  • Passes are not for resale
  • No refunds will be given for any unused days of the Explorer Pass
  • The pass is for the named person(s) only. ID may be requested (driver’s license, passport or identity card)
  • This pass is only available to groups of 10 or fewer people. Passes are not available to buy at National Trust properties and can only be purchased online
     

Parking

  • The Explorer Pass includes free parking in National Trust car parks
    • To use the pass for parking, please print the confirmation and visibly display the information shown under the dotted line on the vehicle’s dashboard
    • If you don’t have access to a printer please write down and display the order reference number found in your confirmation email
  • Coaches are excluded. Vans, motorhomes and caravans are subject to local restrictions

    The Explorer Pass doesn’t provide admission to places with reciprocal entry agreements, such as English Heritage (including Stonehenge and Housesteads Fort), National Trust for Scotland or other International National Trusts Organisation members. Exceptions also include places managed by Historic House Hotels Ltd, Cadw, London Partner properties and local authorities.

Upon booking you will receive an instant order confirmation from VisitBritain and a second email from Digitickets. Your confirmation of purchase email acts as your pass. Please take the order confirmation with you (digitally on your device or printed out) when visiting National Trust places during the validity period of your pass. Mobile coverage may be limited at the property, so passholders are advised to download the confirmation email to their device beforehand.
