  • Children up to 16 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult

Accessibility information

  • The zoo is reasonably wheelchair friendly. Wheelchair access is available to the Pavilion Café, Pavilion Pantry, Gift Shop and all exhibits
  • Path surfaces are either tarmac or crushed and rolled stone and viewing areas are designed with wheelchair users in mind
  • Unfortunately, the Safari Roadtrain is not adapted for wheelchair use.
  • The Giraffe House’s first floor is accessible by lift and a ramp (via the Zarafa Heights Walkway)
  • Wheelchair loan and Mobility scooter hire is available
  • A carer can access free of charge when accompanying a person with reduced mobility or special needs

  • Nearest station: Norwich (then take bus route 37A towards East Harling at Castle Meadow bus stop).
  • By car: Banham Zoo is signposted off the A11 and A140 – Just follow the brown tourist signs.
