  • The Museum is breastfeeding friendly.

Accessibility information

  • The Museum has an accessible toilet on site.  There is a Changing Places toilet in the car park adjacent to the museum (a radar key is required for access).
  • There are concessions available for visitors with disabilities and their carers go in for free.
  • The Museum is step-free and most floors are levelled with ramps for wheelchairs, although some irregular patches may be harder to spot due to low level lighting at times.
  • Landing Craft Tank 7074 is challenging to navigate fully if you have a mobility impairment or are using a wheelchair. There is a slope up the ramp that leads onto the ship, followed by a steep slope the other side.
  • All activities and text panels in the displays have been designed to be viewed from a wheelchair.
  • Visitors with learning disabilities can borrow a guide designed for them at the Museum’s reception.
  • Guide dogs are welcome in the Museum.
  • Free audio guides and a LED magnifying glass are available at reception.
  • There are tactile maps and displays that include descriptions in braille across the Museum.
  • Please contact our team should you require further accessibility information.

Ticket restrictions

  • Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.

The Museum opens daily.

Opening Hours:

  • From April to September: Daily from 10:00am – 5:30pm (last admission to the LCT 7074 is at 4:00pm and to the Museum is at 4:30pm)
  • From October to March: Daily from 10:00am – 5:00pm (last admission to LCT 7074 is at 3:30pm and to the Museum is at 4:00pm)

 Closure dates:

  • 24, 25 and 26 December
