About the show

Enjoy one of Shakespeare’s most intricate comedies in London at the emblematic Globe Theatre.

  • Lucentio is determined to win the beautiful Bianca’s hand in marriage. When her father declares that older sister Katherina must be wedded first, the competition to mould the fiercely independent Katherina into obedient wifey material begins.
  • Petruchio is both larger-than-life and the front runner. But the proud Katherina is going to take shocking levels of manipulation if she is to be won over as his bride.
  • This is Director Jude Christian debut at the Globe Theatre and he is taking on Shakespeare’s challenging early comedy that asks us where we draw the line between entertainment and complicity, reality and the absurd?
