Ticket restrictions
- The special display at Windsor Castle marking the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee has now closed and will not reopen.
Additional information
- Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures/disruptions may be subject to change.
- During peak periods, additional vehicles without Wi-Fi could be used.
- Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A guided walking tour will operate instead.

- Duration: 11 hours. Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time for boarding.
The regular operating times are the following:
- Boarding Time: 07:30 am.
- Departure time: 08:00 am.
- Return Time: 07:30 pm approx.

Closures
- Every Tuesday and Wednesday
- 24-26 December Castle closed. A walking tour of Windsor will operate instead
- When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Drawings Gallery will remain open
- St. George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services.
- You will not be able to visit Queen Elizabeth II’s final resting place on a Sunday.

- Starting point: Stop Z6, outside 50 Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1W 0DH.
- Tour End Point: Due to legal working hour’s restrictions for our drivers, this tour will finish within a 2 or 3-minute walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station [Zone 1 - three stops Eastbound to Victoria (Circle Line, District Line)].
- Nearest train station: London Victoria.
